MAC vs. Bare Minerals?
MAC has way awesome colors and foundation that match me perfectly and I also like thier eyeshadows and pigments. I’ve been hearing about BE and wondered if it is better than MAC or worse? I also heard that BE contains bismuth a filler that causes cystic acne? I don’t really care about that because my skin dosn’t really pimple. But which one LOOKS better?
I switched from MAC to bare essentials. Maybe because I am very fair, and although I bought the lightest shade, it just did not seem like the right color for me. It was also very drying. I did like the final step, the mineral veil, and continue to use it. Oh, I switched back to MAC because it is a better match for me.
I really dont like either. MAC, I only use for eye shadow cause of the awesome colors, but the foundation is way too thick and pancake like. I use prescriptives for foundation and concealer. They will specialize a blend that is right for you!
I have never used mac foundation so i really couldn’t say. But as for eye shadows… i would definately go with MAC. Their colors are super vibrant and awesome lol.
if your skin doesn’t really pimple then you don’t need the heavy MAC studio makeup. It’s extremely bad for your skin and the longer you use it the more it will age your skin. BE is a great product that is natural, and light on your face. Even if you don’t have acne problems now, you just might as your hormones change and mac will become your enemy.
MAC line is product that sole in Mall areas. It cost less about average of 15-30 dollars depending on what product your interested in buying. Mac claims to be the product use for professional results.
I remember a while back, I bought one of there products that is compact that was 2 N 1 and it was the wrong color of my skin tone. I pay 30 dollars at the time.
So, I keep trying different products from the drug stores. They never match to my skin tone.
About 3 weeks ago, I walk into Sephora and try out bare minerals and had my boyfriend with me to give me honest answer if it look natural he said yes.
Since, I was on mission to buy mineral make up. I got myself Rubys costomeics it cost me 20.00 for a large jar but it really natural. I happy with mineral make up. It really helps if you have ance break out as well to cover them up.
I use Bare Minerals and love it. My skin has never been so clear. Never used mac, so i can’t compare.
Personally, I’m a big M.A.C. fan.

bare minerals looks much better on me. the mac colors look fake on my fair skin, i could never get a good match on the foundation. if you like mac, stick with it. you can always try out bare minerals at any ulta, sephora, macy’s, or nordstrom store, to see, how it looks on you, before spending any money.///bismuth oxychloride, or bismoclite is actually a naturally occurring mineral, it doesn’t cause acne, but some people are allergic to it, so they break out. it doesn’t irritate my dry, sensitive skin at all,like mac did.
