www.dermtv.com Connect with DermTV www.facebook.com www.twitter.com Most people are common with hyaluronic acid being used as a filler to remove lines and wrinkles. However, it also serves as a great moisturizer when applied topically in the proper form. In this episode of DermTV, Dr. Schultz shares everything you need to know about hyaluronic acid.
may i suggest something for you doc?
can you speak louder (i mean the attitude)
interesting! Thans doc!!
I believe CeraVe lotion has hyaluronic acid. I’ve been looking for it but haven’t found it locally. I still need to check Walgreens…
I’m disappointed to hear (but glad to be informed) about how it works and how doesn’t work. Sounds like either way it’s still a good way to moisturize.
are there any moisturuzers that help produce collagen?
Does this also go for collagen as well? Many drink it and apply it topically.
very helpful!
you are so informative and helpful, thank you
Oh! I guess Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair works well because of the Hialuronic Acid!
love watching you vid!!! You’re awesome
Hi, I’ve been using ProActiv and my skin is REALLY dry and I have SEVERE acne. What happens is my skin gets super dry, and my skin compensates by overproducing oils. This leaves me with flaky, rough skin with a shiny layer of acne-producing oil that has difficulty seeping in. What do you recommend? I’m having trouble finding a non-pore clogging powerful moisturizer or anything that will help my problem. Thanks.
dr. schultz,
ive seen videos of many women raving about the clairsonic, but im afraid it might be too harsh. What do you think about it?
Wow gr8 info thanx…….
Thanks for your wonderful information ..very helpful !!!
Thanks for your wonderful information ..very helpful !!! What about vitamin A cream for wrinkles only ? tks
Just wanted to say again how helpful these videos are. I was one of your patients for many years and always appreciated how well you advised and informed (as well as cured!) It’s fun to see you again online. (I no longer live in NY but would recommend you as a dermatologist to anyone who does!)
you’re the best Dr Schultz!!
What about Hyaluronic acid in pills? I´ve been told that is not only good for the skin, but also for the joints.
What is a good non-oily facial moisturizer?
@ilthemsc try Cera-ve. it has really been doing good for me, and I used to have the same problems as you. I used proactiv for 4 years and now use a Rx 5% BP wash in the day, and 2.5% Proactiv topical lotion after that and my skin is still nicely moisturized. i’ve also tried Clinique dramatically different gel and lotion, but I still recommend Cera-ve because its more affordable, find it @ walmart and I believe works better! and the best part is, it doesn’t clog pores/cause pimples
good luck!
dang, the end just ruined hopes for me
i need something to fill my two nasty lines of deep-set wrinkles on my forehead and I only just turned 20!
thank you for help us to choose the right tings, now before buy a new product I make first a research on your channel for being sure that I will get the right product that I really need. Infact I have started with hyaluronic acid fillers for correcting my assimetric lips and I have to tell that I feel much better now. Thanks again for your helpfully videos (sorry for my bad english)
Hello, I have very oily skin, but yet sometimes is dehydrated, would pure hyaluronic acid be a good moisturizer for me. I’m not looking for a wrinkle reducer, but just a moisturizer for my oil skin.
Hi Doc,
Just want to ask you, if I have a Hyaluronic Acid (Ampoule Filler), do I need to apply another layer of moisturer?
if I need to apply another layer of moisturer, do I apply the moisturer before or after applying Hyaluronic Acid (Ampoule Filler)?
